PLEASE READ THROUGH THOROUGHLY BEFORE BOOKING WITH LITTLE PEAKS CHILDCARE
The following information outlines the terms and conditions for Little Peaks Childcare.
When confirming your booking (through payment) with us, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions laid out in this document.
Bookings and Payments
Upon booking with Little Peaks Childcare, 50% of the cost of the childcare service is required. This amount will act as a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. Please note bookings are not secured until this 50% deposit has been paid. The remaining balance of your booking is due 30 days before the booking commences. Bookings made within 30 days of the commencement date must be secured by a 100% payment upon booking in order to be secured.
If you require any additional hours of childcare during your booking, an invoice will be given to you and payment will be due by the end of the final day of your booking.
For our ski nanny services, payment for any additional childcare hours will be due before your departure from resort.
If payment for the booking is late, then interest will be charged at a rate of 2% above the Bank of Ireland base rate. Late payments accrue interest on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment.
Cancellation policy
In the unfortunate event that you must cancel your booking, the following terms will apply:
Where notification of cancellation is given more than four weeks prior to commencement of booking - 50% of the cost of the booking will be refunded (the 50% deposit will not be refunded, if this is all that has been paid by this point then no money will be refunded to you).
Where notification of cancellation is given less than four weeks prior to commencement of booking - no payments will be refunded.
Under EU consumer laws you there exists also a 14-day cooling-off period when booking remotely. This means that if you no longer require the booking, then you can cancel the contract up to 14 days after confirming by payment and receive a full refund.
The hours you require will be agreed at the time of your booking, and the booking price will reflect these agreed hours. Should you choose not to use your nanny for any hours you have booked, you will not be reimbursed for the hours not used and the hours will not be made up. There may be some scope to rearrange these hours once the booking has commenced, but this will have to be discussed with your nanny and is on an individual booking basis. Any additional hours used will be invoiced to you and paid for by the end of the final day of the booking.
Staff Sickness
In the unlikely event that your nanny is sick and is unable to carry out/ complete your booking, we will do our best to replace your nanny with an alternative member of our team. If this is not possible, you will be refunded for the hours not fulfilled.
Child Sickness
In the unlikely event that your child becomes unwell or carries an infectious illness, it may be that your nanny can no longer care for them. In this case no refund will be made. If it is a suspected contagious illness, we will ask you to wait 24 hours after the symptoms have stopped before a nanny will resume care for your child(ren). Little Peaks Childcare reserve the right to request a doctor’s note stating whether your child does/ does not have an infectious illness before recommencing the booking.
Medication
Prior to the commencement of your booking, you will be asked to sign an agreement authorising our nannies to act on your behalf in circumstances when your child may need medical advice/ treatment in an emergency.
Medication prescribed by a doctor will only be given after written permission has been given by parents. If your child requires regular medication, this must be made known in the child information form you complete before your booking, and on the first day of your booking the details of this prescription must be made known to the nanny so that they can administer this when required.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all relevant information given to Little Peaks Childcare regarding your children such as allergies, medications, additional needs and dietary requirements is accurate and up to date.
Allergies
It is your responsibility to notify Little Peaks Childcare of any allergies that your child has as well as any accompanying medication and how to administer it.
Ratios
Children that are under the care of Little Peaks Childcare must be booked through our booking system. Little Peaks Childcare do not take responsibility for any children who are not part of the agreed booking (i.e. siblings and extended families are not automatically covered by Little Peaks Childcare unless prior arrangements have been made and agreed). If you would like to add on additional children to your booking, please contact Little Peaks Childacre in advance and we will do what we can, but please acknowledge that this may not be possible due to our working ratios and nanny availability. Additional fees will occur if the addition of more children requires an additional nanny, as all of our prices are worked out per nanny with our working ratios.
Activities and Excursions
If you want your nanny to take your child(ren) out on any paid excursions, or to complete any paid activities with your child(ren) during the booking, these will need to be paid for by the parent/carer in charge of the booking. This includes also paying for the nanny to partake in any activity that requires an adult. Where possible these must be paid for ahead of the booking, or money provided ahead of the excursion/activity and receipts will be passed on to you. If this is not feasible, then your nanny will pay for the excursion/activity and will invoice you for the costs, payments for which will be due by the end of the final day of the booking.
For our ski nanny services:
There are plenty of activities and places to visit in Val Thorens. Should your child(ren) wish to partake in activities that come at a cost such as swimming, trampolining, meals out, etc. then your nanny will require a float to cover the cost of both the child and the nanny. This can be arranged with your nanny in resort at the beginning of your booking, and receipts can be kept on all expenditure and returned to you daily/at the end of the booking. Prices and details of activities can be made available upon request, to give you an idea of the float amount required.
Consent/Photos
When you receive your family information form, you will have the option to consent to the use of photos/videos of your child(ren).
If you consent to photos/videos of your child, you will be allowing for the use of these photos/videos for Little Peaks Childcare marketing purposes and these may be used across our website and social media pages. If you later withdraw your consent then we we will immediately remove all relevant photos/videos.
If you do not consent to photos/videos of your child(ren) being used, but would like them taken and sent to you for personal use/memories, please speak to your nanny once you are in resort.
For our ski nanny service, you will also have the option to consent to various activities around the resort.
Liability
Little Peaks Childcare will take reasonable care of your child(ren) and his/her/their personal effects and money at all times throughout the booking. If your child(ren) has/have an accident or suffer(s) loss of or damage to his/her/their personal effects or money, Little Peaks Childcare will not be liable to pay any damages or meet any expenses arising. Similarly, if your child(ren) incur(s) any liability towards a third party in respect, for example, of any injury caused by your child(ren) to that third party or damage caused to the third party’s property, Little Peaks Childcare will not be responsible.

Consumers of Little Peaks Childcare will have the right to bring claims against the company in the courts of the country that they live, and similarly Little Peaks Childcare will only be able to bring claims against the consumer clients in the courts of the country that they live.
